Scott Clark Woolley of the magical "World of Sugar Art" designed a set of 2 Bumblebee Body Molds. Use in tandem with C55 Bee Wing cutter sets. Form in an instant the challenging head, thorax and abdomen in 2 different sizes. Makes forming the body easy. Directions for forming Bumblebee: Prepare wired wings using C55 Bumblebee Wing Cutter set. Wire should stick out only 1/4 inch from wing. Then form legs next, front two smaller legs in black, and the thicker, hind leg, (pollen sack) in same rich yellow color used for body. Insert 1/4 inch length of white 26, 28 or 30 gauge into legs. Let dry for about an hour until firm. Then press bright yellow sugar dough into body cavity with the sugar a little bit higher than mold and slightly rounded. Bend the end of a short length of 20, or 22 gauge wire in an "L shape". Dampen bend with egg white and insert into Bee belly. Pull and pluck body out of mold. Do not bend mold backwards too far or you may damage it. Brush egg white onto specific areas of the body that will be yellow. Then sprinkle with superfine sugar mixed with yellow dust color for fuzzy appearance. Areas yellow should be the ones just behind head...then skip a ring, followed by remaining rings except for last one. Paint empty areas black. Check drawing provided to see areas that should be black or yellow. While body is still not hard yet, insert wired legs. Wings should be inserted into second black area on top of the body. Finally use short black stamen stems for antennae and stinger in the rear. BUZZZZZZZZ!
